Anisa, who was found in an abandoned building, is not too interested in squeaky toys and doesn't know how to sit, but seems housetrained since she held it until we got outside, and she loves being pet! It seems like she held her own in this tough world for awhile, and is in need of a nice big bowl of natural healthy food. Come pick her up and show her what it's like to finally be cared for. Mugsy is a super sweet 2 year old Amer Staffordshire Mix who is friendly with people and dogs. Not merely friendly, he LOVES people. When a walker commanded him to sit, Mugsy reached up and gave the guy a kiss. Another command to sit and another kiss. He might not have training, but Mugsy's got a heart of gold. Still, he needs to learn some leash manners; he can pull hard on a lead and given his 50 pounds of almost pure muscle, you can't play tug-of-war whenever you walk him. However, with the right collar, he'd learn fast, as he is smart and bright and eager to please you. Mugsy is already neutered, has all his shots and is micro chipped too. one good looking dog and loves to pose for the camera. If he was human he would most definitely be a "SUPERMODEL" - not only with his looks but with his manners as well. He's well behaved, knows basic commands, calm and easy going on the leash, good with other dogs and just wants to be by your side. He's "extra-ordinary" and he will make a wonderful family dog, loyal companion and best friend forever. Unfortunately we're not sure how he is with cats but can be tested upon request. SALVATORE is soooo handsome. This one year old hound/pit/dalmation x pup arrived here as a stray at the city shelter. He's such a sweet happy go lucky boy. He loves being petted and handled.. but he will need training not to pull on the leash but he will be easy to train... He is very attentive to you and will always look back at you to make sure he's doing the right thing. He is dying to please and will make a wonderful companion as long as he is given the structured discipline and exercise. He is underweight at 35 pounds and definitely needs to put on the pounds. He seems to be ok with most dogs but better with female dogs. Please give this beautiful boy the loving home he deserves!
