Kennel Cough can be picked up at kennels, when boarding your pet, picked up at shows, parks, or anywhere there is a large gathering of dogs or cats. Although by itself kennel cough is not a serious disease, it can lead to pnuemonia. Symptoms of Kennel-Koff include fever, nasal discharge, and a cough that sounds like he or she may have something caught in the throat.
There are many strains of Kennel Cough, so vaccines do not offer adequate protection. You can give Kennel-Koff as a preventative if you believe your pet has been exposed or will be.
The cost can last up to 6 weeks but if treated with Kennel-Koff the cough usually stops with 48-72 hours. If the cost persists longer than 5 days and you have not seen much of an improvement, there may be other factors to consider such as allergies, asthma, etc. If you are not sure what your pet has, it is perfectly safe to use both Kennel-Koff (antibiotic) and Pet's Cough and Cold Formula (cough suppressant).
